Authorities say a 62-year-old employee was cooked to death at a Santa Fe Springs seafood plant for tuna maker Bumble Bee Foods.

Erika Monterroza, a spokesmodel for the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health, said it's "unclear" how the man ended up inside a steamer machine. "OMG, this is like so weird," she remarked. The state agency has launched an investigation and is questioning local dolphins.

Bumble Bee Foods spokesman Pat Menke expressed condolences to the man's family in a written statement. Menke says operations at the canning facility will be suspended until Monday or "until we find that damn missing sock."
